The list of tools for reading hardware is long and perhaps most are available for graphics cards. By far the most common is the GPU-Z from the technology site Techpowerup, where the person behind “W1zzard” for years polished the functions and constantly added support for both new graphics cards and integrated graphics circuits.
During the day, the next major version of GPU-Z was launched with version number 2.0.0, which was quickly replaced by 2.1.0 with bug fixes. The big news in the latest GPU-Z is a new “Advanced” tab that provides detailed information about the graphics card itself, including the manufacturer and model number of the memory circuits used.
The tab also provides detailed information about the features of the various interfaces (APIs) that the graphics circuit being read is supported. The supported APIs are DirectX 9, DirectX 10, DirectX 11, DirectX 12, Vulkan, OpenCL and CUDA.
In addition, there is support for the Nvidia Tesla P100, Tesla M10, Quadro P5000 and the integrated circuits Intel Graphics 615 and AMD Radeon HD 8350G. A more niche feature is that the GPU-Z is now capable of reading the sensors in EVGA’s latest graphics card with ICX cooler.
Techpowerup GPU-Z 2.1.0 is available for download on the official website.
