The Azure Heroes program joins the Enjin Gaming Project

The Microsoft giant launched the Azure Heroes initiative, in partnership with the Enjin project. This is a reward program for those who contribute to Azure development with badges in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Users and developers who have distinguished themselves for verifiable impact acts on Azure, such as coaching, creating demos, creating code for example, blogging or completing certain challenges will be rewarded.

Azure Heroes badges are unique and original and are converted to NFT tokens registered on the Ethereum blockchain. Each season, a limited number of new badges will be issued, which will be later distributed to those contributing to the Azure ecosystem.

Some badges are harder to earn than others, but they all have their own unique transaction hash and require storage in a blockchain wallet.

The distribution takes place via a QR code and, once received, the NFT token can be sent to any public address in Ethereum, or possibly destroyed.

The Azure Heroes program in partnership with Enjin

The Azure Heroes program is the latest Microsoft initiative based on the blockchain. It is clear that the involvement of the company is not limited to the attempt to reproduce the internal technologies that underlie it.

Using Ethereum demonstrates that Microsoft is open to partnerships for the use of decentralized technologies, not just proprietary ones.

Singapore-based gaming project Enjin became an official partner of Samsung Electronics in March this year. It is one of the tokens included in the crypto wallet of the Galaxy S10 smartphone.

The news of the partnership with Microsoft has increased the value of the ENJ token by more than 60%, with the price reaching $ 0.10.
