The first tests of the budget video card Radeon RX 6700 showed high performance in AoS

The line of Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards is incomplete. In fact, it received only three models, which means it can be replenished with at least two more graphics chips. The most anticipated is the Radeon RX 6700, which should be on par with the GeForce RTX 3060 in terms of both price and performance.

It is quite possible that just such a graphics chip passed the test today. The documentation specifies the GPU AMD Nashira Summit, which was featured in the Ashes of the Singularity database. Experts have suggested that this is one of the younger models of the family, which is known as Navi 22 or Navi 23

The testing was carried out with some changes in the settings, so it was not possible to accurately assess the results, but it is already known that it is only slightly inferior to the older model GeForce RTX 3070 (it is quite possible that an error could have occurred in the calculations, because the test settings really differ from the recommended ones). This means that potentially we are facing a real hit that can shake up the budget graphics card market properly.

Note that while all this is a distant prospect. Little is known about the release of the Radeon RX 6700, and some sources claim that it is not worth waiting for the appearance of such a video card in retail before summer. This is due to a lot of problems, from a shortage of semiconductors to miners and the desire of individual players in the market to make money by holding on to finished products.
