Despite the relatively late transition to 28 nanometers, Nvidia is not on the lazy side but plans to introduce more graphics cards based on the Kepler architecture. After the Geforce GTX 690, 680 and 670 follows a model for the wide middle class that we take after the bestseller Geforce GTX 560 (Ti).
Not entirely unexpectedly, the upcoming graphics card will be named the Geforce GTX 660. The model is based on the GK106 graphics processor with 768 CUDA cores, but the exact specifications are still unknown. However, there has been talk of a 256-bit memory bus and up to 2 GB of GDDR5 memory.
According to information communicated to retailers, the Geforce GTX 660 will be on sale sometime in late summer, probably at the end of July or during August. The price is expected to end up at around SEK 2,500 including VAT.
