MOSCOW, September 13 – PRIME. The US may start buying oil to replenish reserves at a price of about $80 per barrel, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.
OPEC noted the decline in oil reserves in developed countries
“The US may start replenishing its strategic oil reserves when crude oil prices fall to about $80 a barrel,” the agency wrote.
As of 21.17 Moscow time, the price of November futures for Brent crude oil is $93.43 per barrel, October futures for WTI is $87.47. At the same time, the last time both brands of oil traded at $80 per barrel was in January of this year.
Earlier, from the report of the Energy Information Administration of the US Department of Energy, it became known that the strategic oil reserve in the country is at a minimum since November 1984 – 442.5 million barrels.
