When Nvidia introduces new architectures, it is usually graphics cards for desktops and data centers that get the most attention. These are then followed up by mobile circuits based on the same architecture, and are intended for use in portable gaming computers.
New information now suggests that mobile circuits based on the architecture Turing is on its way and a unveiling will take place during the technology fair CES 2019 in January next year. These are Geforce RTX 2070 and RTX 2070 according to Nvidia’s Max-Q design, RTX 2060, RTX 2050 Ti and RTX 2050 for laptops.
RTX 2080 Max-Q is also said to be underway, but it is unknown if this will be presented during CES or at a later time. It is mentioned that computers with graphics circuits have already started being sent out to testers and the like, but they come with other drivers with lower performance. This is believed to be to prevent leaks before uncovering.
Nvidia is expected to present the mobile graphics cards on January 6, and reviews will be available from the 26th of the same month. CES 2019 takes place between 8 and 12 January 2019.
