According to JapanTimes, Yuto Onitsuka, 25, and Takuma Sasaki, 28, were recently arrested by Japanese authorities for " computer fraud ".
The two thirties are accused of having stolen 78 million yen (about 650,000 euros) in Bitcoin to Onitsuka's former employer, who offers cryptocurrency investment services.
Going up against his former boss, Onitsuka would have communicated the identifiers account CoinExchange (a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange) from his old company in Sasaki, which in turn, on October 29, 2018, stole the bitcoins present in the portfolio of the company in question.
Investigators said Onitsuka had kept the account details and planned to "bankrupt" his old business. Some of the stolen bitcoins were sold and the money was then placed in Sasaki's bank account.
The two suspects would have known each other on an online forum in 2016 but would never have met in real life.
