AliExpress customers earn free bitcoin with Lolli

Did you buy something at AliExpres yesterday during singles day? Then you are not the only one. Singles day is the largest one-day shopping event in the world. AliExpres spends tens of billions of euros. And during this busy day, it was announced that Alibaba, together with Lolli, will pay out rewards in bitcoin.

Bitcoin cashback

Customers can get 5% of their purchase back in bitcoin. Lolli says customers now get Satoshis (sats), the smallest unit of bitcoin, when they purchase one of the selected millions of items online. For the time being this only applies to customers from the United States.

Alex Adelman, CEO and co-founder of Lolli, pointed out that the new step is a milestone for Lolli, as AliExpres is the largest retailer and e-commerce company in the world.

He says:

“Thanks to our collaboration, our users can earn free bitcoin every day from millions of products online. The most important part of this partnership is undoubtedly that it supports our mission to connect the whole world through trade. “

Function is only available in the United States

Coindesk writes that this new service is only available to customers from the United States. Aubrey Strobel, head of communications at Lolli, adds by saying that for the time being even residents of China cannot participate.

But see the United States as the beginning. Adelman says that both parties have the ambition to roll out this service globally in 2020. He also says that this partnership is a good first step to bring China and the US closer together via bitcoin and trade.

The Fold app works in selected countries, including the US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Mexico and the UK.
