AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT in store – SweClockers lists the lowest prices

The recent graphics card launch has looked bleak in terms of both stock balances and pricing, which has not been close to AMD’s and Nvidia’s recommended. Prior to the launch of the Radeon RX 6600 XT, it has been signaled that products will be available and also at AMD’s recommended prices.

SweClockers puts the claims to the test by going through the websites of the largest Swedes’ retailers at the launch. The benchmark is USD 379, which at today’s exchange rate corresponds to SEK 4,135 including VAT. If the promise of a recommended price is fulfilled, there are thus similar levels to be expected, perhaps most likely a rounding to SEK 4,190.

Manufacturer

Cheapest

Asus

SEK 4,590

MSI

SEK 4,890

Gigabyte

SEK 4,890

Powercolor

SEK 4,690

Sapphire

SEK 4,690

XFX

SEK 4,590

Asrock

SEK 5,490

In retrospect, it is noticeable that a single graphics card ends up close to the recommended price, but the availability of models with these prices is limited. Overall, the price picture looks to be just under SEK 5,000. In terms of variants that are well above AMD’s recommended, the availability looks relatively good.

At launch, the stock status was as follows for the retailers who print exact stock numbers on their websites:

  • Webhallen – 140 graphics cards

  • Inet – 170+ graphics card cards

  • Complete – More than 170 graphics cards

It is interesting to note that no retailer shows a price on the card that SweClockers received from AMD prior to the launch of the new circuit. That it would land on AMD’s recommended price, however, we find extremely unlikely as it is the more expensive of Powercolor’s two models.
