Apple has patented a foldable smartphone

Apple has recently stopped revolutionizing the market for various types of equipment. It turns out that Apple got a patent for an iPhone that would be able to fold in half and even stick to clothes.

The patent was filed in July 2014. It assumes the use of a flexible OLED display that can be folded in half. Then both halves of the screen touch each other so that they are outside the device. What’s more, the smartphone can be created so that it can be folded even again in half. The patent is also interesting because of the OLED display. Until now, the iPhone had an LCD screen all the time, so maybe this will change soon as well?

Remember, however, that the patent itself does not mean that the device will appear on the market. It is speculated that the first foldable smartphone will be made by Samsung, which has been working on it for some time. It is also said that this could be as early as 2017.
