Asrock Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi finds out in the picture – lavish cooler and extra Displayport

After AMD built all its performance graphics cards on the GCN architecture since 2011, it was time for a replacement this summer. The result was the Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT from the Navi family, which is based on a hybrid solution of brand new RDNA and old GCN. Initially, there were only the relatively simple reference models, but now lavish third-party cards have begun to find out.

Asrock was among the first to unveil its own custom Navi graphics cards, and now the manufacturer is working on the even more lavish Taichi series. Videocardz has obtained images of the new model, where a large cooler with 2.5 expansion slots and a large number of video outputs are the parade numbers.

In terms of design, a more extravagant design is noticeable than previous models that have been relatively stripped down. On the Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi, three fans in varying sizes apply instead, where the middle one is endowed with RGB lighting both on and around the fan. The radiator housing gets a light golden color mixed with black elements, something that also comes with the gear-equipped baking tray.

No clock frequencies are revealed for the model, but most likely a factory overclocking will be applied out of cardboard. To facilitate overclocking, Asrock has taken the opportunity to upgrade the power supply to two 8-pin connectors for a maximum theoretical power output of 375 watts.

Finally, the Asrock Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi is equipped with a huge number of video outputs, where the number of HDMI and Displayport ports is two and four, respectively. In the Asrock’s Challenger series aimed at the upper middle class, there is instead only one HDMI and three Displayport ports.

Asrock Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi is expected to reach store shelves soon, whether this applies to Swedish dealers remains to be seen. Asrock has previously had a limited presence in the Swedish market.
