Apple may use Nvidia graphics cards in future computers

For several product generations, Apple’s Macs have been using graphics parts from AMD. Apple often switches between manufacturers and now it seems that in the future they will go back to using graphics cards from Nvidia. This since a number of vacancies related to Apple products appeared on Nvidia’s website.

The information comes from Bloomberg, which discovered the job ads. One of the vacancies is as a software engineer, and according to the description, he will help develop the next generation of Apple products. Furthermore, the person will collaborate with Apple to develop graphics-related software for Mac.

Another vacancy specifies Nvidia’s development team working with drivers for Mac, indicating that Nvidia’s graphics cards may be used in future Apple models.

Most of Apple’s computers today use graphics cards that come integrated in Intel’s processors, and for some models it is possible to choose a dedicated graphics card from AMD instead. The information should be taken with a pinch of salt and according to Bloomberg, both Nvidia and Apple have chosen not to comment on the information.
