Asus launches ROG March 760 – promises better performance than GTX Titan

According to rumors, Asus is introducing another graphics card in the extremely expensive Mars series, but unlike its predecessors, it is neither a limited worsting edition nor a price tag thereafter. Instead, Asus aims to provide a great performance for the money.

Mars 760 outpaces even GeForce GTX Titan — with game performance that’s up to 39% faster overall. Compared with GeForce GTX Titan, Mars 760 runs Bioshock Infinite 6% faster, Crysis 3 an impressive 14% quicker and increases Tomb Raider’s performance by a remarkable 39%.

The new graphics card is called Asus ROG Mars 760 and is in practice two Geforce GTX 760 on one and the same circuit board. The result is a total of 2,304 CUDA cores, two 256-bit memory buses and 4 GB of memory (2 GB efficient). The clock frequencies amount to 1,008 and 1,072 MHz at base respective boost while the memory spins at 6,600 MHz GDDR5.

This includes the DirectCU II radiator with metal back and two fans, 12-phase “digital” power supply, Japanese capacitors and support for overclocking via GPU Tweak. The promise is a 20 percent cooler graphics card than the Geforce GTX 690 and 39 percent better performance compared to the GTX Titan.

Last but not least, there is a connection to PCI Express 3.0, support for two ROG Mars 760s in SLI for four graphics processors in one and the same computer system and video outputs in the form of two dual-link DVI-I, dual-link DVI-D, Mini Displayport and HDMI (with adapter).

Asus ROG March 760 will be available at Swedish retailers in mid-December at the recommended sales price of SEK 5,690 including VAT.
