ttMP3 has only one limitation: allows you to convert a maximum of 375 words or 3000 characters per day for free. The count will be reset the following day if you change your IP address (even via a VPN) or if you buy one of the paid plans.

3. Text2speech.org

If you are only interested in the English language and you need a free service that allows you to convert more text into speech, then this might be for you.

Text2speech allows you to convert texts up to 4000 characters long for free. Usage is really simple: just go to the Text2speech.org page, enter the text to be converted in the appropriate field, choose the voice and its speed via the drop-down menus. Then enter the name of the audio file in the dedicated text field and click on the “Start”To start processing.

Once finished, you can listen to the result and proceed to download in mp3 or wav file format.

4. Kukarella

Another service of absolute importance is Kukarella. It is free only after registration, it allows you to convert a maximum of 2000 words into speech for free (without registration the service is limited to only 500 characters).

The service is also available for a fee and offers many functions even in the basic version. It provides access to a considerable number of languages, voices and audio synthesis algorithms. Kukarella is powered by the synthesis engines of Google, Amazon, IBM and Microsoft and is therefore often able to offer a pleasant and natural result.
