BitGo wallet has institutional quality for TRX

BitGo has confirmed that it will launch the first institutional quality Tron wallet for TRX, offering multi-sig security, on-chain transactions and custody.

Funds stored using a multi-sig address can be accessed by multiple people, allowing two or more parties to sign the transactions.

Tron CEO Justin Sun said the BitGo wallet will allow use in various DeFi applications.

“This means that any exchange partners, major brokers and futures platforms that might want to keep TRX in custody have a viable option to do so in a secure and BitGo-compliant way.”

Ben Chan, the technology director at BitGo, said:

“BitGo is the only institutional digital asset company with a complete product offering, from the large volume wallet platform to regulated custody services. Institutional investors are responsible for other people’s assets, and this requires the highest levels of security and compliance with regulations. BitGo wallet will provide these services for TRX. “

New developments for TRON

Justin Sun also announced a collaboration with Beijing Postal and Telecommunications University to support network development. In addition, he is one of the keynote speakers at Samsung’s California blockchain developer conference in late October.

The announcement of Sun’s participation in the conference has given rise to speculation that in the future, TRON could be one of the cryptocurrencies supported by the Samsung Galaxy S10.

The smartphone already supports 35 cryptocurrencies and, from an architectural perspective, given that TRON originally came from Ethereum, it would not require a major effort to integrate TRX. The other possibility is for Samsung to add one or more TRON dApps to its Blockchain Keystore.
