The Oxford English Dictionary (OED), published by the Oxford University Press, has officially added the word “Satoshi” to the database. The English-language database is reviewed every three months and now it has been decided that satoshi deserves a place.
Satoshi is described in the dictionary as follows:
In Dutch, “the smallest monetary unit in the Bitcoin digital payment system is equal to one hundred millionth of a bitcoin.”

The word bitcoin was already included in this leading dictionary in December 2014. Oxford defines bitcoin as follows: a digital currency in which transactions can be performed without the need for a central bank. This can be translated into a digital currency in which transactions can be carried out without the need for a central bank.
The word cryptocurrency has also recently been added to the extensive library of English words: any of various digital payment systems operating independently or a central authority and employing cryptographic techniques to control and verify transactions in a unique unit or account; (also) the units of account or such a system, considered collectively.
In Dutch: One of the various digital payment systems that work independently of a central authority and use cryptographic techniques to check and verify transactions in a unique unit of account; (also) the units of account of such a system, considered collectively.
OED works just like a good blockchain. Once a word is included in the Oxford English Dictionary, it will never be deleted, according to OED’s policy. In addition, the aim of the OED is not only to determine the current language, but also to show how words and meanings have changed over time.
Now we have to wait for adding really serious crypto words such as HODL, stretches and whenlambo.
