China may increase imports of raw materials at the end of the year
MOSCOW, 6 Oct — PRIME. Chinese demand for imported commodities is likely to pick up in the 4th quarter as investments in infrastructure projects and steel production gain momentum. At the same time, Beijing is increasing its exports of petroleum products, an industry official told Reuters.

In the first half of the year, China reduced imports of energy and metals as anti-covid restrictions weakened the country’s economy. However, Beijing has promised to introduce a series of stimulus measures.
Meanwhile, the decision of the Chinese authorities to increase the quota for the export of petroleum products will spur demand for oil tankers.
China can play an important role in the global oil refining system by supplying the missing barrels to Europe.
