Colorful denies any involvement in the production of discrete Intel Iris Xe video adapters

Despite the fact that the official announcement of the first Intel discrete graphics adapters based on the Xe-LP architecture, intended for desktop systems, took place only yesterday, new items continue to appear in the news reports: for example, a few hours ago it became known about the compatibility of new models only with some motherboards and processors manufactured by Intel, and already now one of the manufacturers, which, as was claimed, is involved in the release of discrete video cards Iris Xe, hastened to clarify this issue, the resource reports. VideoCardz.

On its official page on the social network Facebook, the Chinese manufacturer Colorful said that it had nothing to do with the release of desktop graphics adapters Intel Iris Xe, but thanked for such close attention

Further “investigation” of the source specialists led to a possible reason for this confusion: as it turned out, the name of one of the images of the video card model presented on the official Intel website contained the word “colorful”, as a result of which a number of resources decided that this graphics adapter was produced by the manufacturer of the same name.

However, the similarities do not end there: the design of the Iris Xe model, presented on the Intel website, and the appearance of the GeForce RTX 2060 Battle Ax video card from Colorful are almost identical – it is likely that this could serve as an additional reason for misinterpretation.

Thus, at the moment only one manufacturer of discrete video adapters Iris Xe is known – the Taiwanese company ASUS. The name of the second partner responsible for the release of new products is still being kept secret by Intel.
