Corsair makes the Hydro HG10 water cooling bracket for Geforce GTX 970 and GTX 980

Last year, Corsair launched the HG10 mounting part, which smoothly makes it possible to cool graphics cards with closed water coolers. In addition to this, the main issue is that Corsair tailors the device for reference cards from AMD and Nvidia, which means that other critical components such as voltage regulation are also kept cool.

At Computex, the Hydro HG10 is shown specially adapted for both the Geforce GTX 970 and GTX 980 in the reference version. The fact that these are tailor-made metal frames is noticeable not least in the former, which has an extra heat conduction tube at the rear edge for the graphics card’s placed voltage regulation at the rear.

A novelty compared to previous models is that the Hydro HG10 is delivered with a radial fan, which is used to cool surrounding components for the graphics processor. This is to be compared with, for example, the variant for the Radeon R9 290X, where the user must remove the fan from the reference cooler and mount it on the HG10.

Corsair Hydro HG10 is of course delivered with all mounting details that may be needed and works with all water cooling packages in the company’s range. The company also plans to deliver the new models together with included water coolers.

The Hydro HG10 mounting device for Geforce GTX 970 goes on sale in July and will be followed by the GTX 980 variant in August. The models will cost 39.99 and 99.99 dollars without respectively with included water cooler, corresponding to approximately 420 and 1,050 kronor including VAT.

Corsair flags also because the Hydro HG10 for Geforce GTX Titan X and GTX 980 Ti are planned for the future, but when they appear is not yet nailed.

Update 2015-06-09: On Corsair’s official website and in a forum post, it appears that the Hydro HG10 for the Geforce GTX 980 will also work with the reference designs for the GTX 980 Ti and GTX Titan X.
