Dazzling with Chroma effect Razer Phone 2 tested in Geekbench

So it promises to be a great battle of gaming smartphones. Razer clearly wants to meet the phenomenally promising ROG Phone from ASUS with its Razer Phone 2. From official information, we do not know much about it, but now it has entered the Geekbench database and it looks like it will delight its surroundings with advanced Chroma backlighting.

Let’s start with the first one, because the Razer Phone 2 test in Geekbench seems to be the most interesting. It not only informs us of the overall performance, but also confirms what exactly this smartphone will be hiding under the hood. I am talking about the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4 memory. Until now, it was thought that Razer would bet on the Snapdragon 855, but it looks like the older one is enough according to the company. No wonder – it has 8 cores (x4 Cortex-A75, x4 Cortex-A55) and an Adreno 630 graphics core. Below you can see a screenshot of the test, which does not impress with dots, but it is probably caused by the early version. Razer Phone 2 is probably still in the design phase.

The above screenshot also revealed to us that the smartphone will be powered by Android 8.1. We heard from completely different sources that Razer is also working with Texas Instruments to create a controller responsible for the original Chroma effect. This is to be built into the “backs” of the Razer Phone 2, although it is even said that it will somehow work with the screen. Does it make any sense? It’s not for me to judge, but the company still has to stand out from the ROG Phone, which promises to be revolutionary!
