Delivery drones have just reached a new level with RDSX

Devoted to the new dimension of deliveries, the A2Z Drone Delivery company has just presented its new creation in the form of RDSX, i.e. a drone. Looking at it, it’s hard not to conclude that it is a next-generation delivery drone.

The A2Z Drone Delivery RDSX drone takes transport to a new level

Until now, A2Z Drone Delivery has mainly had the RDS1 system, which required integration with the DJI Matrice 600 Pro exacopter. It boiled down to a module that made it possible to deliver parcels weighing a maximum of 2 kg to customers from flight level, lowering them on its kevlar cord, terminated with elastic fabric. Of course, before that, the drone had to reach the target and then dropped the package from a height of 46 meters, releasing it at the right moment thanks to the LiDAR sensor.

This system, keeping the original principle of operation, has its own, specially designed drone with eight propellers, gaining the possibility of transporting additional cargo. In its current form, the RDSX automatically flies up to a maximum of 15 kilometers if it is flying with two 2 kg loads, or 30 km if it is flying with only one. However, it has two optical cameras, allowing operators to manually control it.

It draws power from two modular batteries that can be quickly replaced at the base station, and its design has been designed so that when its arms are folded with the propellers, it takes the form of a cuboid 0.8 meters high and 1.3 meters wide. In addition, its safety system takes care of the cargo at all times, because in the moment of failure it will fire an on-board safety parachute.
