The blockchain-based live video broadcasting platform, DLive, joined the ecosystem BitTorrent and will soon migrate to the network TRON.
Launched in 2018, the platform DLive was developed by the startup Lino and is currently based on the Lino Network blockchain. She made headlines last spring after attracting one of the biggest youtubers on the planet, PewDiePie.
BitTorrent, the company that owns the famous downloader of the same name – bought by Justin Sun (the CEO and founder of TRON) -, said it would now work with Dlive to “offer peer-to-peer content sharing based on blockchain, including live streaming. “
BLive, the streaming platform owned by BitTorrent, will be merged with DLive, which, for its part, will start using the BitTorrent file sharing system (BTFS).
“DLive is a great solution for streamers, ”said Justin Sun in a statement.
In addition, the platform DLive will leave soon Lino Network for blockchain TRON and thus adopt the digital token TRON (TRX).
Based in San Francisco, the company Lino raised $ 20 million in 2018 in Chinese-led fundraising round ZhenFund.
