EU energy ministers to discuss price controls on Friday, source says
BRUSSELS, September 29 — PRIME. EU energy ministers may agree on new measures proposed by the European Commission in mid-September amid high energy prices at an extraordinary meeting on Friday. This was reported to journalists by a source in the EU.
Most EU countries have called for a cap on gas prices, a source said.
“Tomorrow the ministers, I hope, will agree on the regulation,” he said.
The source also added that the ministers will discuss additional measures in the energy sector. “There will be (discussion – ed.) about further necessary measures,” he said.
