OnLogic has decided to “celebrate” Pi Day with the announcement of its new Factor 201 industrial computer in the company’s traditional orange housing. It is, of course, driven by nothing else than the Raspberry Pi, and more specifically the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4.
Factor 201 is available for pre-order only and starts at $ 333. It is a compact, passively cooled computing device that is designed to be used as an industrial gateway, controller, or edge computer. What distinguishes it? First of all, high durability and resistance, because it can work at temperatures from -20 to 60 ° C, and flexibility, because it can be powered by either PoE-PD or a traditional 12-24V power supply.

Its utilitarianism increases access to two Ethernet ports, four USB (1xUSB-C, 2xUSB 2.0 and 1xUSB 3.2), optional Wi-Fi module or 4G LTE connectivity and the possibility of configuration with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4 memory, 32 GB eMMC and up to 2 TB of mass storage memory in the form of SSD 2280 drives compliant with the SATA standard.
