When Nvidia unveiled their new top model Geforce GTX 1080 Ti earlier this year, they also announced that they are opening up to partner manufacturers to launch new versions of Geforce GTX 1060 and GTX 1080 with faster memory.
Now the first pictures of these models appear via Videocardz. These are models from Asus and MSI, where the cards from MSI go by the name Gaming X Plus. These use the company’s Gaming X coolers and memory that run at clock speeds of 9,000 MHz and 11,000 MHz for the Geforce GTX 1060 and GTX 1080, respectively.
For Asus, these are two models, one of which is in the company’s Strix series. Again, this is an increase in clock frequencies for the cards’ graphics memory, where these increase by 1,000 MHz. Other data, such as clock speeds for the graphics part itself, are not yet known.
Even information on price and availability is still shrouded in obscurity, but previous information suggests that a launch will take place sometime during the month of April.
