Google Chrome will have a new tab grouping feature

Google has decided to once again improve the proprietary Google Chrome browser and equip it with more convenient navigation between many open tabs.

As it became known, the new tool allows you to group open tabs in the browser, combining them by subject, as well as different goals and objectives of the user. For example, you can create several special categories “social networks”, “shopping”, “YouTube”, “work”, “watch soon”, etc. in order to quickly switch to the necessary web resources. In addition, the created groups of tabs can be saved when the browser is restarted, which is very convenient for those who visit mostly the same sites.

You can use the grouping function through the context menu by right-clicking on an open tab. The created tab groups can be signed and highlighted in different colors. In addition to text in titles, you can also use graphic emoji symbols for tabs. In addition, groups of tabs can be edited and freely moved around the panel. The maximum number of groups and tabs added in the browser is not limited. It all depends on the amount of RAM installed in the computer.

The developers are sure that the majority of users will appreciate this promising innovation, as the specialists tried to take into account all the working moments and wishes. The company has been testing this feature for several months. As of today, it is already available in the current beta version of Google Chrome. Its appearance in the stable release of the browser is expected in May 2020 on desktop platforms Windows, OS Chrome, Linux and Mac OS.
