Huawei has applied in Europe for approval of the Huawei Watch Buds trademark, which may clearly indicate that the company is working with us with a smartwatch with headphones.
As reported by LetsGoDigital, on March 28, 2022, Huawei Technologies filed an application for the Huawei Watch Buds trademark. The application was filed with EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) and classified in class 9/14. The device description includes such terms as a smartwatch containing headphones or a combination of a smartwatch and headphones. So it looks like the company is preparing just such a 2-in-1 device for us.
If this happens, it will be the first device of this type in the manufacturer’s assortment, although not the first in the world, because smartwatches with headphones can already be found in the DrPhone offer. You can expect that it will look similar in this case – the headphones will be placed on the side of the watch case and secured with a special mechanism that prevents them from accidentally falling out.
For now, we do not know anything more about the Huawei Watch Buds, so it is possible that the product will not finally enter the market at all. So it remains for us to wait and observe further information on this topic.
