Huawei Mate Xs 2 presented. Yes, it still bends "outward"

As announced, Huawei has introduced another foldable smartphone to the Chinese market. It is Mate Xs 2, which stands out from the competition in that it does not fold inwards but outwards, which means that it has only one large screen to offer.

Huwawei has already had several foldable models, and the first was Mate X, debuting in February 2019. After it, in 2020, Mate Xs came. She devices are characterized by a screen that folds outwards, which is not like the later Mate X2 and Mate X2 4G.

The latest Mate Xs 2 is therefore the direct successor to the Mate Xs. What does it have to offer?

As we have already mentioned, we get one large screen here, although after folding it, or rather rolling it, we can also use a half. a full-fledged OLED panel offers us a 7.8-inch diagonal with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels and an image refresh rate of 120 Hz. Smaller – 6.5 inches with a resolution of 2480 x 1176 pixels. The manufacturer has placed a selfie camera (10 Mpix) in the upper right corner, so you can use it both when the screen is folded and unfolded.

When it comes to photographic possibilities, we get a triple configuration with a 50 Mpix main unit, a 13 Mpix ultra wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel module with 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization.

Huawei Mate Xs 2 drives the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, of course without a 5G modem. It is supported by 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of built-in memory. The battery with a capacity of 4880 mAh with fast 66W charging is responsible for the power supply.

Huawei, as announced, has improved the folding mechanism, which will translate into greater screen strength and minimize folding when unfolded. In addition, stylus support was also provided, which is a great help with such a large screen.
