Intel may release Xe News on August 14

The processor giant has been highly topical in recent times, primarily due to the gloomy future forecast around the transition to 7 nanometers. As a result, a number of investment banks have significantly reduced the valuations of the company’s share. In the dark cloud cover, however, some light is glimpsed, where the future “Rocket Lake-S” looks to reach the 5 GHz limit and the eleventh generation Core processors for laptops are waiting in the near future.

With the new processors, the company’s graphics architecture Xe will make its debut on the consumer side, a solution that can be scaled from energy-efficient integrated graphics parts to powerful variants for dedicated graphics cards and data centers. Intel has previously talked about a broad Xe launch for the summer of 2020 and now a deleted Twitter post is gossiping that the schedule is still current.

The post was published on July 25 and was deleted shortly thereafter for unknown reasons, but Videocardz was quick to root out the message and preserve it in image form. The text speaks reveals that news about Xe graphics is expected in 20 days, which from the time of publication is August 14. However, the fact that the post was quickly deleted indicates an incorrect time for publication, so a later opportunity is possible.

If August 14 does not offer news, September 2 is imminent, a date that Intel has promised to announce “something big”. In addition to Xe graphics, the eleventh-generation portable Core processors, codenamed “Tiger Lake”, are the hottest candidate for the event. Recently, the Core 10000KA processor series was also seen as another option. The future will show what the company has on the agenda on 14 August and 2 September, respectively.

Are you looking forward to Intel’s unveiling? What do you think the company is picking out of hiding? Tell us in the comments thread!
