The company Oceanways is responsible for it, which received 380,000 British pounds for its project, i.e. two million zlotys (via Interesting Engineering).

No wonder, because if we see the production version of this unnamed consumer-use submarine, the world will receive not only another way of transporting goods, but also equipment for capturing harmful microplastics from the water. In addition, during its underwater journeys, it would collect data on the local ecosystems.

This is because an automated cargo submarine that would be powered by green hydrogen, obtained from renewable energy, is at stake. It would float around 50 meters below the sea, even reaching shallow waters where large container ships cannot travel. Ultimately, however, this type of equipment would be used for shorter journeys.
