KazMunayGas reported stable shipment of oil via CPC

ALMA-ATA, 8 Sep – PRIME. Chairman of the Board of the National Oil and Gas Company Kazmunaigas (KMG) Magzum Mirzagaliyev reported to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the stable shipment of oil for export through the pipeline of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), the press service of the head of state reported.

On August 22, CPC announced that it had temporarily decommissioned two out of three remote mooring units (TLUs) in the port due to the discovery of problems in them, and that in connection with this, shippers’ requests would be fulfilled in reduced volumes.

“Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the current situation at the sea terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. Oil is loaded into tankers steadily, shipments are carried out according to the schedule,” the press service said.

Mirzagaliyev also informed the head of state about the measures taken by the company to stabilize the situation on the fuel and lubricants market.

According to the company, this year Kazakhstan will produce a record volume of oil products – 17 million tons. In addition, a decision was made to postpone scheduled repairs at the Shymkent and Atyrau refineries, which will additionally send up to 150 thousand tons of diesel fuel to the domestic market, and in addition, the Railways of Kazakhstan will import diesel fuel in the amount of up to 100 thousand tons.

In addition, Mirzagaliyev reported on the implementation of Kazmunaigas’ projects in the field of petrochemicals. At present, commissioning has been completed at the polypropylene plant in the Atyrau region. The launch of the enterprise is expected within a month.
