MSI error suggests Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti launch is imminent

The listing on the website suggests that the graphics card will arrive any day.

Nvidia was not expected to announce the RTX 3080 Ti in the next two weeks, but the graphics card has already appeared on the website MSI.

As noted on the site Videocardz, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has already appeared on MSI’s website in the filter section for the Video Cards product category. Clicking on the link doesn’t showcase any products yet, but it’s likely another sign that Ampere’s flagship graphics card will hit the market soon.

This isn’t the first time MSI seems to be confirming the RTX 3080 Ti is coming soon. Earlier this month, a version of the MSI Supreme X graphics card appeared in the wild, with some speculating that the card was already on sale in Abu Dhabi with a price tag of (approximately) $3,500 / 260,000 rubles + VAT.

And while Nvidia has yet to confirm the existence of the RTX 3080 Ti, let alone the pricing of the new graphics card, the company is expected to announce the new card on May 29th, with a launch scheduled for early June.

However, we are unlikely to expect many surprises, since high-performance graphics leaked to the network many times long before the release. According to rumors, the graphics card will be equipped with a GA102-225-KD-A1 graphics chip with a total of 10240 CUDA cores and 80 SM units, as well as clock speeds of 1365 MHz and 1665 MHz.

The Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti is expected to feature 12GB of GDDR6X VRAM, which is 2GB more than the Nvidia RTX 3080.

It’s also likely that Nvidia’s updated hash rate limiter will make its debut on the RTX 3080 Ti, along with the same rumors about the new RTX 3070 Ti, as the manufacturer looks to give more graphics cards to gamers while bypassing crypto miners.
