Nvidia GK106 and Geforce GTX 650 pictured

Those who are hungry for a Geforce with the architecture Kepler will soon have more options to choose from. First and foremost is the Geforce GTX 660 which will take up the fight against the Radeon HD 7870 in the wide middle class.

PC World Arab is now publishing images of the new GK106 circuit, which will primarily be used in the Geforce GTX 660. The same source claims that it is 960 CUDA cores, 192-bit memory bus and 2 GB GDDR5 memory. The TDP value is 140 W, which means that the reference model can handle a single 6-pin PCI Express connector.

According to early performance tests, the newcomer will perform approximately on a par with the previous generation flagship Geforce GTX 580. The price is expected to land at between 2,000 and 2,500 kronor including VAT.

Geforce GTX 650

Nvidia does not stop at the Geforce GTX 660 but files on another model, this time in a lower price range. The graphics card in the picture is called Geforce GTX 650 and, like previous budget variants, is based on the stripped circuit GK107.

Chinese Mydrivers reports that the Geforce GTX 650 contains 384 CUDA cores, 128-bit memory bus and 1 GB of GDDR5 memory. The newcomer is said to have more or less the same clock frequencies as the Geforce GT 640, with the important difference that the memories go up to 5.0 GHz. The model is also said to lack automatic overclocking via GPU Boost.

The Geforce GTX 650 will be on the market sometime in September. Some price information is not yet known.
