Nvidia GTX 1180 Founders Edition Coming In July!

Nvidia GTX 1180 Founders Edition Coming In July!

The next big step in PC graphics.

It looks like the first Nvidia GTX 11-series graphics cards will go on sale in the next few months, with reports from unnamed sources hinting that the GTX 1180 Founders Edition will hit store shelves in July.

The information comes from sources of Tom’s Harware and, if so, the novelty will hit the market two years after Nvidia launched the GTX 1080 Founder Edition, which debuted with the 16nm NVIDIA Pascal GPU architecture.

The first of Nvidia’s Turing graphics cards appears to be in a hurry to hit store shelves and, according to Tom’s Hardware, will be the first to ship “Founder” graphics cards, and third-party graphics cards under the MSI and ASUS brands will be available in August or September. Apparently, graphics cards for laptops will arrive later this year.

According to anonymous sources, Nvidia will ship the GPU and memory to its partners around June 15, indicating the July launch of Founder graphics cards.

Apart from the launch of the GTX 1180, there will also likely be a GTX 1170 in the same edition, but the GTX 1180 will be the flagship and the GTX 1170 will be a more affordable GPU.

And this information follows the first rumors that the GeForce GTX 1180 may be faster than the Titan Xp, which is currently the most powerful consumer graphics card from Nvidia.

The GTX 1180 is likely to run 3584 CUDA cores versus 2560 GTX 1080 cores with 224 TMUs (versus 160 TMUs per 1080) and is built on a 12nm process (as opposed to its predecessor’s 16nm process).

The video card promises to offer twice as much video memory from the GTX 1080 – 16 GB, the memory will also be faster – GDDR6, the maximum performance of the video card is estimated at FP32, which is about 13 teraflops.

We can’t wait to see what Nvidia’s next generation graphics cards are capable of, so let’s hope all of these rumors are true, it won’t be long.

Here are the best graphics cards you can buy in 2018.
