Last week, AMD held a live press conference of GPU Tech Day, where the company presented the upcoming Radeon 200 series. While most details about the hair product were omitted, the pricing for models in the price ranges of 89, 139, 199 and 299 appeared.
The industry magazine Digitimes reports that the series is expected to put pressure on Nvidia’s current range of graphics cards. Nvidia is therefore planning price adjustments in November, probably waiting to see what AMD’s models have to offer, and will have one or two new graphics cards in the price ranges of 149-249 dollars. These are probably models placed under the Geforce GTX 760.
AMD’s upcoming flagship R9 290X is expected to be able to compete with the Geforce GTX Titan, but the graphics card will reportedly be positioned against the Geforce GTX 780 in terms of price. It can thus make the graphics card maker to consider price adjustments for the said graphics card but also the flagship GTX Titan.
