At a recent auction, New Regency Television International won the television rights for the podcast " The Missing Cryptoqueen "Reports Deadline.
Released this fall by BBC, the podcast returns to the saga One Coin and has been listened to over 3 million times since its release.
Launched in 2014 in Bulgaria and directed by Ruja Ignatova aka Cryptoqueen, OneCoin has been under the radar of authorities around the world since 2016, when its CEO disappeared from traffic. Onecoin promised huge returns on investment and investors were pressured to recruit new members to receive more tokens. Its cryptocurrency was not built on a blockchain and its value did not follow supply and demand but was determined internally. The survey found that between the 4th quarter of 2014 and the 3rd quarter of 2016, OneCoin had sales of 3.3 billion euros for a profit of 2.2 billion euros.
Konstantin Ignatov, brother of Ignatova and co-leader of the project, was arrested in Los Angeles for fraud and money laundering in March 2019. The Cryptoqueen still remains untraceable today.
