Weiss Ratings has upgraded Bitcoin from B + to A-, after previously raising criticism for the rating.

The Weiss rating for Bitcoin is now A-minus, considering it excellent. The company mentioned the improvement of the fundamental elements and the positive increase of prices. Also, the fact that the half of the block reward is approaching is another reason for the improved position in the ranking.

“Bitcoin Upgrade: The Weiss Crypto Rating for BTC is now A- (excellent), due to the improvement of fundamentals and the positive price action before the next half of the Bitcoin Reward”

Weiss has been managing the financial sector for almost 50 years, but has little experience in the crypto industry. Its ranking of cryptocurrency projects is based on risk, reward, technology and adoption.

However, Weiss has faced some criticism in the past, both in terms of cryptocurrencies and in traditional financial market valuations.
