We are waiting all the time for Oppo to finally release a smartphone with a camera under the display. The latest patent received by the company suggests that it may happen in the near future.
A new Oppo patent has appeared in the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) database for a smartphone with a camera under the display and an additional screen on the back, placed next to the camera island. From the 48-page documentation that LetsGoDigital has reached, there are color renders showing the device from each side. So we see not only the key elements, but also the exact structure of the smartphone.
The illustrations show us a screen curved on all sides and a square camera island with four lenses, although this may change in the case of the final product, because the number of cameras is not part of the patent. The small screen next to the island is supposed to show general information and also be used for taking selfies.

There has already been speculation that the patented smartphone may appear on the market as Oppo Find X4 Pro, most likely powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, this is unconfirmed information and the device may as well never get beyond the design phase.
