Oppo has followed in realme’s footsteps and has also unveiled its magnetic wired charging system called MagVOOC. Let’s check what we know about it.
It started with realme which decided to introduce its magnetic charging technology as a response to Apple MagSafe. Oppo, which presented MagVOOC during the Smart China Expo 2021 in China, also followed suit. The first generation of products includes two chargers, one 40W and one 20W, and a power bank.
The charging stand holds the smartphone with magnets and can charge with 40W, so the 4000mAh battery is fully charged in less than an hour (56 minutes). Importantly, MagVOOC also supports the Qi standard and charges with a power of 15W. The more compact version of the Oppo charger supports 20W and 10W Qi.
As for the MagVOOC powerbank, its capacity is 4500 mAh and it can charge smartphones with 20W of power. And this device supports the Qi standard.
Oppo did not reveal too many details, so we do not know when the device will go on sale or what smartphones will be supported. We are left to wait for more information.
