Peskov spoke about Russia’s losses from the accident at Nord Stream

MOSCOW, 28 Sep — PRIME. Russia bears losses from the Nord Stream accident: gas is expensive, and now it is escaping into the air, half of it has already been planned for the country’s internal balances. This was stated by the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov.

“This is a big problem for us, because, firstly, both lines of Nord Stream 2 are filled with gas, and all systems are, in fact, ready for pumping, and this gas is very expensive. And half of this gas, I want to remind you of the statement president, it has already been planned for our internal balance sheets,” he said, adding that expensive “blue fuel” is escaping into the air.

According to the press secretary of the President of Russia, the head of state said that “if you come to your senses later, keep in mind that there is already not 100% gas, but there will be only half.”

Peskov added, answering a question about the timing of repairing damage at Nord Stream and assessing the situation, that the Russian side does not yet understand what to repair, because it does not understand what happened there.

In addition, the pipelines have an owner, he stressed, Gazprom. Peskov indicated that the Russian company should take part in the investigation of the situation.
