Premiera realme Pad, realme 8s 5G and realme 8i

Premiera realme Pad, realme 8s 5G and realme 8i

realme today unveiled several new devices – its first tablet – realme Pad, as well as two smartphones – realme 8s 5G and realme 8i. We also learned a bit about the realme 9 series. So there is a lot of information.

The manufacturer’s first tablet – realme Pad

First, let’s start with a complete novelty in the realme portfolio. Their first tablet is a budget device equipped with an IPS LCD display with a diagonal of 10.4 inches and a resolution of 2000 × 1200 pixels. Here we get a screen covering 82.5% of the front panel. We also get four stereo speakers. realme Pad is powered by the MediaTek Helio P80 processor supported by … 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of built-in memory. This is really not much and in general it is the memory configuration that works to the greatest disadvantage of this tablet.

We also do not get 5G connectivity, but this is not such a big problem, because the tablet supports LTE and WiFi (depending on the variant, but more on that later). The big advantage of realme Pad is certainly the 7100 mAh battery that supports 18W charging. The manufacturer ensures that the battery lasts up to 12 hours of video viewing and … 65 days of standby. The device works under the control of Android 11.

So let’s move on to the price, because we have learned the amounts in force in India. realme Pad is a cheap device that can work for people who have never used a tablet and do not expect too much from it. However, the variants in which realme offers it leave much to be desired. So we can buy a version with 3/32 GB with WiFi for 13,999 rupees (about PLN 730), a variant of 3/32 GB with LTE for 15,999 rupees (about PLN 830), or the option of 4/64 GB with WiFi and LTE for 17 999 rupees (about 940 zlotys).

As you can see, there is no “madness”, and the only reasonable option here seems to be the strongest and the most expensive version. However, we do not know if the device will hit the Polish market.

It is supported by 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of built-in UFS 2.1 memory. realme added here the function of dynamic increase of the amount of RAM, which of course comes at the expense of mass memory (up to 5 GB). The 5000 mAh battery supports 33W fast charging.

The display in the realme 8s 5G model has a diagonal of 6.5 inches, Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The 16 Mpix selfie camera is in a circular indentation. On the back, however, we get a triple configuration with the main camera 64 Mpix (f / 1.8), macro and mono lens.

It is worth mentioning that we get chargers in the set with both smartphones.
