Putin welcomed the participants of the Russian Energy Week

MOSCOW, 10 Oct — PRIME. Russian President Vladimir Putin greeted the participants, organizers and guests of the 5th Russian Energy Week International Forum, stressing that representatives of many states traditionally gather in Moscow to discuss the current energy situation, the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.

“I am glad to welcome you to the Russian Energy Week International Forum… Traditionally, government representatives, entrepreneurs and experts from many countries of the world gather in Moscow to analyze the current situation in global energy, share forecasts for the future and, most importantly, find solutions to the most urgent problems… During industry meetings, round tables and seminars, the best experts will talk in detail about important innovations in the fuel and energy complex and the social sphere,” the text of the telegram says.

The President noted that the development of energy markets directly depends on the constructive cooperation of states, therefore Russia will continue to modernize the fuel and energy complex, attract investments and launch new projects. He also mentioned that this year the Global Energy International Prize will be awarded for outstanding research and scientific and technological achievements that contribute to increasing the efficiency and environmental safety of energy sources.

Putin stressed that Russia, despite the pressure exerted on it, fulfills its obligations and seeks to conclude long-term mutually beneficial contracts, remaining a reliable and responsible exporter of energy resources.
