Radeon R9 390X and R9 390 in full specifications can be found online

Older circuits in a new vintage permeate the entire AMD’s Radeon 300 series graphics card. One of these is the graphics processor Hawaii, which was released with noise and bong in the autumn of 2013 together with a new name scheme under the names Radeon R9 290X and R9 290, which in the new family were renamed to R9 390X and R9 390.

Now Videocardz publishes screenshots for the two newcomers and as expected, this is not about any major news. First of all, the GPU-Z identifies the graphics processor in both as Hawaii, but in the BIOS string a little further down, its new name Grenada appears.

In addition to the new name of the graphics processor, the clock frequencies increase by 50 and 53 MHz for the Radeon R9 290X and R9 290, respectively, corresponding to 5–6 percent higher than their predecessors. A larger difference is noticeable in the video memory that goes up to 6,000 MHz, which with a 512-bit memory bus gives a bandwidth of 384 GB / s – up from 320 GB / s and higher than 336 GB / s for Nvidia’s top models.

Increased clock frequencies aside, the big news is that the graphics cards are equipped with 8 GB of video memory as standard, double up to previous models. It is also taller than the flagship Radeon R9 Fury X, which due to the new and faster memory technology HBM will be limited to 4 GB.

AMD Radeon R9 390X and R9 390 are expected to see the light of day during the week and according to previous information will land at SEK 4,990 and SEK 4,190 respectively.
