As early as February, AMD announced that the next generation of graphics cards is delayed and that no new graphics processors are in sight. Instead, the Radeon partner focuses on complementing today’s 7000 series with more models. Now there is talk that the worst Radeon HD 7990 will be followed by a graphics card for gamers on a budget.

The user Toppc on Coolaler.com seizes what is said to be a Radeon HD 7730 from MSI. Exactly what it is for a graphics processor is not clear, but the discussions are about seven GCN clusters for a total of 448 stream processors and 28 texture units. The clock frequency is 800 MHz.
Otherwise, 1 GB of GDDR5 memory in 4,500 MHz can be seen on the 128-bit memory bus, which means that the overall specifications are largely reminiscent of the Radeon HD 7750. The graphics card itself is also a familiar creation and is very similar to the MSI Radeon HD 7750 OC V2.
In 3DMark, the newcomer performs 70–90 percent better than the Radeon HD 7670 (formerly HD 6670). For the Fire Strike subtest, it is about 20 percent lower points than the Radeon HD 7750, at least in a comparison with SweClocker’s tests.
However, it is unclear whether the Radeon HD 7730 will be launched globally or whether it is only a product intended for the Asian market. The latter is not uncommon when it comes to scaled-down models for lower price ranges.
