Samsung has released a toolkit for developers of decentralized applications

South Korean technology giant Samsung has announced the release of a beta version of a toolkit for developers of decentralized applications (SDK) on the Ethereum blockchain.

According to the company’s press release, the Samsung Blockchain SDK toolkit provides “all the necessary” functions for creating decentralized applications. It also offers a cryptocurrency payment gateway, already with a user interface.

“Samsung Blockchain SDK allows you to exchange data with a third-party blockchain node that provides a payment solution. This will reduce the cost of creating your application, except in the case if you have your own wallet ”, – said in a press release.

Note that the toolkit supports only five devices of the Samsung Galaxy smartphones – S10e, S10, S10 +, S10 5G and Galaxy Fold. It is expected that the final version of the SDK will be released before the end of this year.

Earlier it was reported that Samsung plans to integrate cryptocurrency wallets in the budget models of their smartphones. If this happens, the new SDK is likely to receive support from a significantly larger number of devices. In addition, support for cryptocurrency can be added to the Samsung Pay payment service.

The announcement posted on the company’s official website states that the Samsung Blockchain SDK allows account management and backup, payment systems and digital signatures.

The Blockchain Development and Decentralized Applications Kit (DApp) is the latest evolution in this technology launched by Samsung.

In June, the IT subsidiary of Samsung announced that it is launching three new products designed to address customers’ blockchain issues. The products aim to facilitate the integration of the blockchain with other platforms for entities trying to adopt the technology.

Samsung SDS president and CEO also showed that the company believes that blockchain is one of the key technologies for the “Digital Transform Network”.

In February, Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 smartphone that includes a crypto-wallet private key storage system. Later, the company announced it is considering integrating blockchain services and cheaper phone models.
