MOSCOW, 14 Sep — PRIME. None of the applications, including Sberbank, disappeared from the iPhone after it was updated to the recently released iOS 16 operating system, RIA Novosti was convinced.
In mid-April, Sberbank’s mobile apps for iOS became unavailable for download and updates in the AppStore due to sanctions, but already installed apps continued to work. On the eve of the release of iOS 16, some social media users and experts wrote that sanctioned applications would be removed from the iPhone after the next update of the operating system.
At the same time, updating to iOS 16 required a little more than 2.7 GB of free space on the phone, and the iPhone update itself took about 20 minutes. After restarting the device with the new operating system, none of the applications was removed from the phone, and the Sber mobile application continues to work, the RIA Novosti correspondent was convinced.
Apple introduced a new version of its iOS 16 operating systems, including for users from Russia, on Monday. In the new operating system, the lock screen has been updated, now you can also show photos, customize font styles and display widgets on it. In addition, it became possible to create multiple lock screens and switch between them. Notifications will appear at the bottom of the lock screen.
