While Apple released the A12 Bionic processor and the Huawei Kirin 980, Qualcomm took its time with its new processor. We’ve heard some rumors about the Snapdragon 8150, but until today nothing was for sure – not even its name, which sometimes appeared as Snapdragon 855.
The new processor has just been noticed in the Geekbench benchmark. It obtains 3181 points for one core and 10.084 points for many cores. Unfortunately, this result is still smaller than Apple’s design. The processor will be made in 7 nm technology. It is also supposed to enable 5G connectivity. Its architecture resembles that of Jirin 980. This includes 4 Kryo Silver cores, two Kryo Gold cores and two Kryo Gold Plus cores.
According to reports, this processor may be officially presented in early December. This is when we will learn more about it and see if it really is a real competition for the competition’s construction.
