Swiss ski resort Zermatt accepts Bitcoin for tax payments

In partnership with Bitcoin Switzerland, the small Swiss town of Zermatt now accept the Bitcoin for the payment of the local taxes.

The society Bitcoin Switzerland just installed a solution crypto-payment in the town hall of Zermatt. Taxpayers can now settle their taxes directly with the first cryptocurrency of the market.

Bitcoin Switzerland is delighted to support the Municipality of Zermatt, one of the most popular tourist resorts in Swiss, with its integrated solution for bitcoin payments, "The company said in a statement.

By accessing a dedicated portal, residents can send their bitcoins which are then instantly exchanged for swiss francs and transferred to the municipality's bank account.
