Naval News had the opportunity to take a look at the full-size MUM-T UAV replica created by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), take a few photos of it and find out what the new KAI drone can do.
This new KAI drone in the form of the MUM-T, the Manned Unmanned Teaming version, capable of working with other aircraft, operators and drones, was shown in the company of the MAH helicopter. Not without reason, because if necessary, as many as 17 drones will go to a total of 17 of its launchers, although the drone will initially be developed in its version, including ground level launches. Development of a variant to be launched in flight “will take place in the mid to late 1920s”.

According to a spokesman for KAI, the MUM-T will be able to fly for two hours and reach a maximum speed of 150 km / h. It will also be versatile, with a total of four different modules, each dedicated to one of the following four roles: reconnaissance, electronic warfare, deceiving the enemy and destroying targets in missions with up to 3 kg explosives.

The spokesman stressed that the operational requirements for the MUM-T had not been finalized and that its capabilities were dependent on the operational requirements of the Korean Army and other customers.
