The AMD Radeon 300 series appears in the price list

The fact that AMD is not launching any new graphics cards at Computex 2015 but is holding the goodies for the E3 gaming fair in mid-June does not mean that the red team succeeds in keeping future plans secret. On the contrary, SweClockers can now publish the first real price list with the upcoming models in the Radeon 300 series.

The table above shows the current pricing from one of AMD’s partner manufacturers. It can be added that the prices primarily apply to models that deviate from the reference design, for example with self-developed coolers, which usually cost a few hundred bucks extra.

The new 300 series is crowned by the Radeon R9 390X and 390, both with a new variant of the Hawaii graphics processor known as Grenada, which shares 8 GB of GDDR5 memory. Prices end up at SEK 4,990 and 4,190, which can be compared with today’s equivalents Radeon R9 290X and 290, which are available from around SEK 3,000 and SEK 2,500, respectively, including VAT.

A bit further down the performance ladder is the Radeon R9 380 with 2 and 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. This graphics card is by all accounts today’s Radeon R9 285 in a new shape and is thus based on the existing graphics processor Tonga. It can also be noted that a possible Radeon R9 380X not visible in the existing price list.

The entire new AMD Radeon 300 series will be premiered at a special event during the E3 gaming fair, which kicks off on 16 June.
